Award Winning Climate Refugees Film alongside Lunar Art Collection launching to moon: presented at COP28 in Dubai, UAE
The official opening of COP28 at the Resilience Frontier showcased a remarkable discussion and exhibition featuring Michael P. Nash’s Climate Refugees Lunar Art Collection. This collaborative art project, curated by Nash and Dallas Santana, showcased the work of 22 artists from around the globe who drew inspiration from the multi-award-winning 2010 film, Sundance “Climate Refugees” documentary. Filmmaker and artist Michael Nash took the stage to elaborate on the significance of the art collection, drawing global attention to the human face of climate change and potentially future life forms, as the collection is destined to rest on the moon for years to come.
On Monday, December 4th, 2023, filmmaker and artist Michael Nash delivered a second compelling presentation in the Blue Zone of COP28. The focal point of the presentation was “The Power of Story – How Art Can Drive Global Change.” Nash shared excerpts from his 2010 film, “Climate Refugees,” initially screened at COP19 in Copenhagen.
